School timings

  • Readiness class –08:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

  • Prep 1 onwards – 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Children are expected to be promptly dropped and picked up. Latecomers will not be entertained. All public holidays are holidays for the school. Students are expected to be present in the event of an activity requiring their presence on Saturday or other holidays. Prior information will be given regarding this.

Term Dates

Pre-Semester: June 3, 2024, to August 12, 2024

Semester: August 13, 2024, to October 25, 2024

Post-Semester: October 28, 2024, to January 14, 2025

Final: January 15, 2025, to March 28, 2025

Training

  • Training for teachers and students will be imparted every month.

Regarding holidays

  • All calendar holidays marked as public holidays will be holidays for the school.

  • There will be flag hoisting and other patriotic programs on Independence day, attendance will be marked after which the students can leave.

  • Hartals and bandhs: In the event of the bandh call us, you may check the newspaper early enough, use your discretion and if the situation so demands that you remain indoors kindly do so. We will remain closed only if the situation is really bad, taking into consideration the safety of our kids and staff.

Attendance, Absence and Medical

Children are to take leave from school only when considered absolutely necessary and unavoidable. Leave can be availed of with prior permission in event of:

  • Medical issues.

  • Wedding/engagement/baptism in the family.

  • Own house warming and other religious functions.

  • A trip to a place that enhances information and knowledge.

Pupil

Students should bring the following every day.

Readiness & Prep 1

  1. Memo Book.

  2. Identity Card.

  3. Water Bottle.

  4. Cotton Napkin for those who bring lunch (Lunch should be brought in an airtight good quality lunch box).

  5. Spare Dress

Prep 2 to Grade 8

  1. School Bag, Notebooks and Memo Book.

  2. Textbooks & Stationery Items (G1 to G8).

  3. Identity Card.

  4. Water Bottle.

  5. Cotton Napkin for those who bring lunch (Lunch should be brought in an airtight good quality lunch box).

  6. Spare Dress (Only for Prep 2)

Transportation

AC School van transport service is available within the town and within a radius of 20 Km around Kanjirappally. Fees will be calculated by the distance.

Uniform and Property

School Uniform

  • Readiness to Prep 2 students can select from five different coloured tee shirts. Tee shirts should be worn with Blue Denim shorts.

  • From Grade 1 to Grade 3, students can select from two different coloured tee shirts (Honey Brown & Feather coloured tee-shirt). Tee shirts should be worn with Blue Denim shorts. Tee shirts – Provided by the school. A pair of casual wear consisting of a shirt and Bermuda shorts, underpants/panties is to be kept in school at all times.

  • For Grade 4, students have to wear Military Green coloured tee-shirt. Tee shirts should be worn with Blue Denim shorts. Tee shirts – Provided by the school. A pair of casual wear consisting of a shirt and Bermuda shorts, underpants/panties is to be kept in school at all times.

  • From Grade 5 to Grade 7, students have to wear Military Green coloured tee-shirt. Tee shirts should be worn with Blue Denim Jean or black sweatpants. Tee shirts – Provided by the school. A pair of casual wear consisting of a shirt and Jean/sweatpants, underpants/panties is to be kept in school at all times.

  • A pair of casual wear consisting of a shirt and Bermuda shorts, underpants/panties is to be kept in school at all times.

  • A raincoat during the rainy season is mandatory.

Uniform Code

  • A student must be in full uniform from the time they enter the school in the morning until they are in the car/van on the way home unless students are changing clothes for athletic practice or game.

  • Clean Velcro sandals should be worn every day.

  • Washed and neatly pressed uniform should be worn every day.

  • Prescribed shoes for Grade 1 upwards.

  • ID card needs to be worn daily to school.

Swimming Kit

  • One-piece swimming costume.

  • Swimming shorts or trunks – no Bermuda shorts, for health & safety reasons.

  • Towel.

  • Personal swimming hat.

* All belongings should be neatly labeled

The Denim short/Jean/sweatpant is available at Kloth Surplus Store/Pulpel Textiles. Please do visit them early enough to place an order if needed it may be procured from elsewhere also.

Hairstyling

  • Hair should be trimmed neatly for boys.

  • Girls can keep it short or tied up neatly.

Hygiene & Health

  • Nails should be trimmed neatly.

  • For healthy reasons, students should avoid using lunch boxes and water bottles made of plastic.

  • We promote vegetarianism and therefore a vegetarian snack will be provided to all students during the snack break.

  • Students need to bring vegetarian lunch or avail mess facility at school. Kids are encouraged to learn table etiquette, sharing and caring during their initial school years.

On Students’ Birthday

On students’ birthdays, they can wear coloured dresses to the school. They can either donate a book to the library or plant a sapling on their birthday at our campus. They can distribute handmade sweets without maida, artificial colours and preservatives and with low sugar.
